Barb and I made an almost miraculous recovery from yesterday until today. Yesterday was the absolute worst of what is going around down here. Whatever kind of ailment it is I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!!!!

Yesterday Barbie and I were both so bad it was all we could do to take care of ourselves let alone each other. Things started getting better in the evening and improved as the evening wore on.
I know our recovery has a lot to do with the Smoke and Prayers of all here.

To tell you how bad it was yesterday morning I got to the point where all I could do was think about my little Bro Rusty and his demise.
I was so concerned I called one of our daughters and asked her to call us every half hour on the hour to see if we were all right, which she did, bless her heart!

PJ wondered out loud whether she should come over and baby sit us but I convinced her that she indeed did not want to catch what we had again as she had already suffered her ten days with it once this year.
A friend of ours has had it for three weeks and still has the cough that goes with it.
I know that I have a weak immune system due to my health issues and I'm beginning to think that even Barb's may be weaker than it was when we were working and had to be around people all day every day.
Anyway I just wanted to say thanks to all concerned again and as usual what I intended as a short and sweet message has turned into a massive missive.;) :D :o
 
Glad to hear you are both improving. Sounds like it was an awful ordeal. Look forward to hearing from you regularly again on the H.I. forum.
 
Yvsa you and everyone else here are in my prayers on an ongoing basis. I am glad you are feeling better. You will stay in our prayers.
 
Glad ya be better! :thumbup: I had a flu in '98 that sent me my a$$ via special delivery and I tell you it ain't fun!! :grumpy:

Of coruse I only go to town twice maybe three times a month so I don't catch much....something to be said for being a hermit!!

We got some nasty stuff running loose up here too,friend's granddaughter got it..I was over to get somethings done and she sounded like she had the bloody plauge!! :eek:

I had the same thought, and it scared the heck out of me.

Thanks for y'alls concern Jerry. We haven't been around any rodent droppings, that either of us knew about, and think we got the illness when we went to WalMart a week ago last Monday.
The store was more crowded than usual for some odd reason. I can't see anyone with the illness out shopping but there are altering degrees of built up immunity.

I'll sure enough warn all of our friends about the hanatavirus though, wasn't aware of it happening.:eek: :o
 
I think (don't trust me on this) that a uni professor from Virginia was doing a rodent study up here in Morgintown two or so years ago...he got that Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome and it killed him!! :eek:

And people wonder why I've got twenty+ cats ;)

Well, a lot of illnesses are contagious before symptoms appear.
I don't think you can sue^H^H^H Souix WallyWorld. ;) :foot:
