I picked up an Izula (green and I did an orange para wrap, looks great) from KSF about three weeks back and it took all of about a week of handling it for me to order a "6". Just received the 6 yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Looks like a new addiction has begun....

I also wanted to send out a hearty "Thanks" to a few different people/groups. The first "Thanks" goes to all the people at ESEE. Great product, incredible value for the cost and a solid warranty that I doubt I will ever need. Second "Thanks" to KSF, super prompt service and awesome communication. Third "Thanks" to all the forum members who take the time to express their opinions and reviews here. It was this information that led me to these great products and gave me the confidence to plunk down my hard-earned pesos, I was not disappointed in the least and I know who to blame for this new vice.

These new friends are just begging for a trip to the woods and I CANNOT WAIT TO TAKE THEM!!! I have a canoe trip planned already for early June and both of these beauties will be along for some smallie fishing and fatwood hunting!! Pics to follow when I have a few moments.

Can't wait to see photos of those babies out in the wild. Before you know it, you'll be a member of the RAT Pack and wondering, " What did I get myself into?" and the adventure begins! Enjoy your new toys! :D

The 6 feels just perfect in my hand. Love the size of the grip. Although I haven't had a chance to do anything beyond admiring it, it feels like it should have a surprising amount of chopping power for a 6" blade.

I felt in the past that a 6" blade length was kind of a jack of all trades, master of none blade length, not as handy and "carry-able" as a 4" or smaller blade and not as able to perform chopping and related tasks as a larger knife. The balance and heft of the RC6 may change that for me.

I was a fan of Cold Steel until I bought an OSS recently. The edge was so dull I could saw it back and forth on my finger without cutting myself, the guard was so flimsy that I could bend it and almost touch the blade and it is made in China. Suffice it to say that I will not be spending any more dollars on their products. I am kicking myself now as I could be one Izula richer for what I paid for that POS. I should use my RC6 to chop that blade in half and send it back to Lynn. Sorry to digress....

Thanks. I have a couple of CS SRK's and was just wondering if it was worth laying them down for the RC-6. Lifetime warranty is huge.

I have a Carbon V SRK. Not a bad knife but the handle is on the smallish side and the end of my hand hangs off the end of the pommel a bit.

After handling both, my vote is for the RC6. Way more heft, better handle design and the flat grind should out perform the sabre(?) grind of the SRK for most tasks.
