Thanks everyone for stopping by!
I'm going to keep it up with the content here, at one point this was probably the busiest maker subforum on Bladeforums and I'm bringing it back,
I'm currently in Texas. It is a long story but I went down to help my parents and never left. I'm currently settling their estate and working on putting my shop together.
I lost my Colorado shop due to wind shear and have only gotten to go back and pick stuff up once. My current shop is close to functioning, it needs a new panel/electric but I have most of the knifemaking gear I need now.
I'm picking back up where I stopped in CO with a 450 knife run of 2 Backpacker variations. They are going to heat treat right now. After that I have 400 more knives cut out... about half are final profiled and ready for heat treat. I'm not just stopping there as I have two new models in Beta-Ti at the waterjet right now. I have a bunch of mixed knives in 3V too... It takes ages getting this many knives ready but it is all coming together now. Most knife shops this big have an employee or two but I like to do it all myself and keep things to my standard.
I have turned down several major knife companies and will never have my work outsourced to China, that seems to be the way to go right now. My niche is USA made and I have full control of every aspect of my work. I am using the worlds best for heat treat and waterjet to help get the knives out there and in use. I have made well over 5000 knives from scratch and still have a lot to learn, a long ways to go!
Thanks for looking! I appreciate any questions, comments, posts, etc. I'm here to talk knives!
