Well, I just placed my order for a Battle Mistress.:D I came over to the Busse forum just out of curiosity, now I'm in for it. I should have stayed put in the CRK forum. I ordered it with gray blade, and the standard black micarta handles. Does anyone have a pic of this particular combo? Or maybe a link to one? I'm also wondering about getting a sheath. I have seen the sheath I like but I don't know what it is called. I think it is an Armorall leather sheath, it has a ring between the sheath and the belt loop. Can I get a sheath from them for this particular knife w/o sending it in? I thank you for the help guys, my checkbook does not.
 
Welcome to the insanity! You will not regret buying that FBM. Mine exceeded all expectation and should be getting my LE in the next few days. Dwayne Puckett > Armoralleather is linked under sheaths from the Busse site and does amazing work. It sounds like you are referring to his Dundee rig which I am considering as well. Very nice work. All the sheath makers listed do incredible work :thumbup:

Congrats on your first piece of INFI :thumbup: The sheath you're talking about sounds like Armorall's dangler sheaths I think it is. I imagine by the time it was time to make your sheath (if you place an order with him) he will have made a few FBM sheaths and you will not have to send yours in. Drop him an email though and I'm sure he'll get right back to you.

You're BONED!!! J/K ("Just when I thought I wuz OUT... They PULL me BACK IN!!!") :D I think that you're gonna like it! There's a thread entitled FBM compilation of pics, or something... Maybe a page or 2 further back, ya might find an image in there. YES ARMORALLEATHER, leatherman makes great leather 'pants' for knives. I highly recommend! :thumbup:

Wow, this is a friendly bunch over here!:) The Dangler, that is exactly it. Man, I am excited. This is my first Busse, so what the heck do I play with until it gets here? Thanks for all your replies. ETA: I forgot to ask, just how big is this knife gonna be, anyway? I have read that it is a monster, much bigger than the numbers suggest.

Any idea of how long it takes to get one once your order is placed? Week, month, two?
 
It depends on where they are in production compared to what you ordered, I got my CG FBM a week after ordering it and an LE on the same order and am still awaiting the LE.
 
:thumbup: Congrats on the mistress! I just ordered my first as well. Put the order in 5 days ago and Amy told me I should see her in about 2 weeks. I would imagine you will be looking at close to the same timeline. Found out about the hogs 10 days ago and already ordered 2. At this rate i will have 72 pieces of INFI by Jan. 08! :D :p
