Around 25 years ago when the Sebenza first came out I had wanted 1, I wish I had been buyin' at the 90s prices. It took me all of those 25 years to file out how ti get one,

Well a little horsetradin' for a knife I felt was too pretty to use and I hot my first Plain Jane small 21. I thought it would be one and done but somehow I got an itch and someone texted me that had my Birthday Benza and another deal was stuck involving another trade for a Custom Knife I never carried, a rare 1 of 7 hwy made. Anyhow two would be it but the itch was still there. I had two but we all know it takes three to make a collection.

Wow a collection of Sebenzas, dare I dream it could be possible? Well last year I got laid up with the fourth shoulder surgery and a member here sent me a few knives to play with, among them, two ZTs and a Large 21 with ebony inlays, next to my first Sebenza the large ebony is a favorite. I finally had a collection. I wanna thank my benefactor for his generosity and friendship that's developed as a result.

Fast forward to today and I see my daughter bringin' in that all to familiar red, white, blue and black priority mail box. Now the Mrs gets a lot of free samples in the mail so I didn't think much till she made a beeline for me. I couldn'r remember gettin' anything, hell I can't afford anything I think I'd remember if I bought or traded for a knife. . Well imagine my complete and utter surprise to discover a gorgeous Plain Jane Sebenza 25. :)

So here it is a quick family pic of my Sebenzas, the 25 is the one at the very bottom of the pic.

Hi Ted,

Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for the hobby and the story of the heartfelt friendship that had ensued. In the news of today we hear about the evil in the world; we need more news like this that encourages us to be kind and loving.

Enjoy your collections and friends.

Nice collection Ted, you’re gonna have to tell us about the 25 after you get a few days with it. I know I like mine, between the 25 and umnumzaan, they’re my go to work knives.
