All my life I had carried Buck and Case knives. I had never realized that knife technology has advanced to the products available today. A co-worker of mine recently came to the office with a CRKT M-16. I liked the look of it and after reading about it online, I had to have one. I have been very pleased with my own CRKT M16-03Z, but in researching it on the internet I discovered Emerson, Benchmade, and other high-end knives.
As soon as I can talk myself into parting with that much money for a knife, I plan to purchase a CQC7, double ground, spear point blade with a bead blasted finish. I would prefer the black teflon coating, but I can't seem to find one that is not partially serrated. I have found the bead blasted version as cheap as $82.95 online.
What is the general opinion of the knife I would like to buy? Are there any other brands I should consider? Does anyone know of an Emerson dealer in Western North Carolina?? Thanks again.
