Okay guys, well it took a few months but I finally followed up on the recommendation that I got here to buy this one:
From 4 sevens. I have to say that I am REALLY impressed with this little light. It had everything I was asking for. Under 100 dollar price, runs on regular double A batteries, is an LED light with fantastic output etc. The extra modes and things are just a bonus as far as I'm concerned.
I've never owned a surefire or one of the other high dollar lights but they would have to be good indeed to beat this one.
