I just joined the forums a couple of days ago, because I need to get some information before buying a new EDC knife. I lost my old one, a Blackout, and after waiting a month to see if it would turn up I decided to go ahead and buy a new knife.
I was just going to buy another Blackout because I loved that knife and used it every day for work, it was always up to the task, but after visiting Kershaws web site and seeing all the Ken Onion knives I decided to get another model. Well after reading a lot of post and the comments I went and purchased a Black Blur – 1670BLK. I have already used this a work today and it is fantastic, I love the wider blade it has than the Blackout and the flat handle fits in my hand better. The Trac-Tec coating on the handle makes the knife very secure feeling in my hand and of course I had already loved the SpeedSafe on the Blackout and would not buy another knife without it.
I plan to take it to the mountains this weekend and to use it for a long time at work, of course that is if I am not stupid and lose it also.

Great knife darrin. Yeah, hold on to it this time. It should serve you well, and good to have you here at the Kershaw forum!:D:thumbup:

I'm envious of anyone who can use a knife like a black blur "at work". Welcome.... and enjoy the ride :o

I could pull out a machete and no one would give a second look here.
But they know I carry 3 or 4 knives every day and I've talked most of my co-workers into
carrying at least 1. :)
