Thank you very much for the Starmate that I won on the 12k contest! How about an introductory review?
It's a great knife. I've never handled one, only seen pics of it. It's a solid, well built knife. The lock up is tight. No side play at all...none! The whole locking bar engages the blade almost dead center. The locking bar is easily used but even with a gorilla grip i can bearly feel the bar under my index finger. I wont worry about unlocking it during hard use. The clip is strong but is a little low due to it's position over the pivit point. I requested the plain edge and the blade is solid and hair popping sharp out of the box. The edge is ground perfectly. The handle has that slightly tacky feel that new g-10 has. I like the radiused edges of the scales. Clean and crisp all the way around.
A powerful user blade that is light in weight. This is a keeper guys.
Thanks once again to Sal for his generousity.
