I can't remember who Wrote that putting lock tite on the latch would help keep it from hitting the handle and the blade, but it really works. No more tape for me. Lock tite is the way to go. So whoever recomended lock tite thanks a million for the tip.

Has anyone heard when the new blades are coming out for the 42?, and what styles are offered.

I have been writing representatives from Benchmade (and getting some good responses I might add) but I don't think it looks too good.

First of all I don't think that they will be making other models (other than the 42) like a 3 in or something for at lest from a while/bit of time.

Also this is an email from Roberta De Asis:

"Hi,
Thanks for your email and your questions.
We have made no decisions regarding the Bali-Song blade additions. Benchmade is so busy bringing on other new products and catching up with the large back-order for the model 42 that we haven't had the time to focus on more new options for the Bali-Song. I'm hoping we will have some decisions made and some timing planned by February.
Thanks again for your interest."

But you never know, we will just have to wait and see. (the 42 did come out before planned)

LocTite is a liquid that is used to bond screws and bolts to keep them from working loose.

There are two kinds, the blue LocTite which can be broken loose fairly easily and the red LocTite which will hold till @#$% freezes over or you heat it to about 300 plus degrees before you try to take the screw out.

I used both on the blade screws on my knives to keep the screws from working loose.

You can get it at most hardware stores or machine shop supply stores

How do you put the LokTite on? Where? I want to try this.

Thanks!
