Thanks to Yangdu and HI for the extra effort to get me a knife. My first kukri and its a beaut, well ok. In the world of polished perfection, it ain't. But the KLVUK is perfect for a first kuk. Very well made, solid and sharp out of the box. A great knife for clearing brush and getting used to the unique balance of a kukri. I'm looking forward to deciding on the next model.

I'm pretty impressed with what HI is accomplishing and happy to be contributing,at least a little, and a part of this great community.

You're welcome and Thank you too, Spydie!
The KLVUK is pretty much villager fit & finish, wait til you get one fully dressed. I think you will be pleased.

Glad to hear you're happy:) I adore my KLVUK. Be it your first entry level khuk or dozenth, it's just a really, really useful blade. I keep mine in my truck in a shoulder holster draped across the back on my seat. So far I've used it to whack down some overgrown weeds that grew to the size of small TREES at my mother in law's house, and I used it to prod along a large snapping turtle sunning itself in the middle of the back country road that I take to work. I hated to disturb his wake-up rays of sunshine, but I didn't want him to get run over either. I also didn't want to lose a finger or have him come back around and get my toe:eek: The KLVUK was just enough reach to push the grouchy ol' reptile to the other side of the ditch and out of harm's way.

The klvuk knife works well in my little farm, did some cutting on twigs, branches and bamboos. No need worrying about scratching the blade coz its raw and villager type blade.
I even customize a quick draw leather sheath made for it. :).
