So the other week I was on that facebook deal and GEC posted a giveaway in honor of "National Hotdog Day", I wasn't sure that was a thing but apparently it is. They said that if you posted a review you could win some sorta prize. I figured what the hay and entered, and this Monday I saw a posting that I was the big winner of a book called Great Eastern Cutlery An American Tradition signed by Bill Howard himself. Today I looked in the mailbox and there it was. Only had a minute or so to flip through it so far but am really excited to get to learn more about these old brands and the resurrection of them. Pretty neato if you ask me!

Very cool book, lots of great info on the history, some great old pics of the factories and the new and some great old knife advertisements. Can't wait to really have a good sit down and get into it. Really a great read for anyone interested in the brands, not that anyone around here would be into that sorta thing .
