... and all the crew from Busse for making my first Blade show so memorable. To steal a line from Tony G, I also thank Jerry for creating this amazing community, both on-line and in person, where we can all share this crazy passion for the knives and the camaraderie, where good people enjoy one another's company. It's late, I'm tired, so one example shall suffice. Before the show, I got it in my head that I needed a Leaner Meaner for the dinner at Fogo's. I put up some trade/sale threads, and started digging around. Lo and behold, two nice guys, Tony G and morimotom, each offered to loan me a knife to use for the dinner. Men that only know me through the ethers here, were willing to send me an expensive toy, trusting me to take good care of it. Where else does that sort of thing happen?

Thanks, Jerry.

I've only met people like this in one other place -- active duty military. Frankly, I thought we old soldiers were a lost breed, that the world had moved away from us...that people had changed fundamentally.

Never so glad to be proven wrong.

It was great to meet Guy at Blade. That SFNO was a great snag, man!

I'd like to add my thanks to the chorus. We had delay after delay on Saturday and wound up getting to Blade later than planned. First chance I had to meet Jerry was at the induction dinner, and I knew he was an amicable soul and a people person the moment I shook his hand. I'll bet Jerry's never met a stranger. Glad I got to spend some time with him and all the Busse crew--from dinner to the pit to the fountain outside the Waverly. I haven't laughed so hard in a while, and I enjoyed every minute of the evening.

Yes, it was a great and unexpected pleasure. In addition to the fun and camaraderie, I learned a great deal from the folks I met. A little chemistry, a little about bikes (riding and building), a little about grinding and polishing, a soupcon about photography and staging, a lot about knives and cutting, and even some excellent career advice (thanks Guyon!).

Absolutely agree that Jerry has never met a stranger. That man has an outsize personality.:)
