Hey Guys

A couple of days ago Top Jimi was over to sharpen a few knives for a friend on my 2X72...

I watched Jim for a little while,, then worked on one while he watched me...

Once he left I started playing around with some old kitchen knives taking up space in the drawer.. I wanted to test a few knives first, and see what I could do with them, without screwing up any good knives..

I've got a little bit to learn about holding an angle, however after 15 minutes or so under Jim's supervision and I was hooked on sharpening knives.

I'm using a backing belt with white compound and boy does that do a nice job on the edge..

I've sharpened about 35-40 knives now, including every knife in the house and a pile of my fixed blades and folders, and holding an angle is getting easier with each one..

I've also sharpened a few convex Moras and I'm quite impressed with the outcome...

Thanks Jimi for taking the time to show me another use for my Vari 2X72..Paying itself off with each use..

Now to get you over late nite to supervise some actual steel grinding!!

Theres cold beer in the fridge, and Rabbits to shoot off the bait pile..
