I've been a lurker on here for quite awhile, trying to figure out which Strider I want-large small, fixed blade or folder. And it was different every week. I'm almost finished taking an EMT class and next I'll be doing the Firefighter I&II class so I want a knife that I can use for extrication, seatbelt cutting, prying, etc., so there's quite a few Striders that will do the job. At one point I decided that I did want spine serrations because I may also take a rope rescue class and that seemed appropriate. Well for the last 6 mos. or so I've been talking to my wife about which knife I want 'this week' and she would just look at me like she could care less but all the time it was just an act.

With Joe Estrada's help she got me a BT-SS with some of the best looking tiger stripes I've seen and a Strider/Surefire M2 to keep it company. She gave them to me last night at one of our last EMT classes and I was totally surprised and speechless. The knife is hardcore. One of the girls in class handled it and said it scared her. :D

Joe,

Thanks a lot for taking care of my wife. She said you really went out of your way and I appreciate it. You didn't have to and that's really cool that you did.

Brenda,(my wife)

WOW, you're awesome! Thanks for going to all the trouble to do this.

Adam

Hey Adam,
I'm glad that you received your gift...would've loved to have been there. Look forward to helping you in the future and all the best to the BOTH of you.
:)
Joe
p.s. About your wife, she IS AWESOME!! She did a lot on your behalf and it was very important to her that everything be just perfect... thought you'd want to know.

Adam/Brenda/Joe...can you tell my wife that buying me some Striders is a good thing, not a bad thing :D As a new member to the Strider Kick A** knife owners club myself, congrats, wellcome, and enjoy.

Well, over the years I've convinced her that it's usually cheaper to buy the best right from the start. I accomplished this with properly timed suggestions and a series of "learning the hard way" lessons. Now it's just automatic. ;) She even got herself a WP2T-she says it's mine but I know better.

Well for a first Strider you certinly got one of the best IMNSHO. Now you gotta get a folder!:D Your wife sounds cool. I am lucky to have one of the understanding wives as well. It makes this crazy hobby a lot easier.

My awesome wife found someone selling a large and a small Buck Strider tanto folders. I got the big one.

I almost forgot to mention the Strider t shirt and stylin' BT lapel pin thanks to Joe.
