During the Sniper Symposium that was held on Oct 5 at Camp Pendelton Marine Base, Strider knives was singled out and recognized for their contributions to Scout-Sniper School and the Marine Scout-Sniper community.Duane reluctantly stood up to receive the recognition he so richly deserves.Among others, legendary Vietnam era Sniper Chuck Mawhinney was an attendee/speaker, and it was a memorable night for all who were fortunate enough to be in attendance.
What you will not hear about are the almost ridiculous number of behind the scenes contributions that the Strider guys have done for Snipers (trust me, they are too numerous to mention here). Suffice it to say, when no one is looking and there is no recognition, credit, or thanks to be gained, the Strider guys are still sacrificing and bending over backwards to our Great Nations heros and defenders. Nicely done, Lads!

Mr. Mike,
Many thanks for the kind words. A few more things need be said. We (Mick and I)have had the distinct pleasure of knowing Mr. Mike for some time now and I can say without hesitation that here is a true patriot.
Mr. Mike was one of the guest speakers at this event and spoke of things like duty, honor, the warriors mindset and spirit. He spoke of patriotism, loyalty and the importance of great will. He spoke of the need at some times and places to crush an enemy into the ground, banish them to hell, and strike fear in those remaining who would threaten freedom so they understand that they too will realize this fate for crossing the line. He spoke of things that define manhood, courage and strength.
There were several speakers at this event and they are all men to whom we owe a great debt. Mr. Mike's service to our country and our world is to be respected and admired. His frienship is a privilige and a pleasure.
Sincerely,
Duane Dwyer
