About three weeks ago, I acquired a LNIB Civilian SE, and was planning on sending it in to Spyderco for a little TLC(mainly resharpening). Last week, before I sent it off, I noticed that there were some spots on the pivot area where the steel was either chipping or cracked. I really didn't think too much of it, but made a quick note asking for the Warranty and Repair dept. to check it out for me.
Well, this area on the Civvie must have really been more serious than I thought. Because today, I received a NIB Civilian SE to replace the old one!!
I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS AT ALL!!!
Thanks Mike and Spydie crew at Warranty and Repair!! This is one of the major reasons that this Spyderholic is going to be a Spyderco customer for life.
