Just back from Afghanistan--a very good deployment for me. I carried a 5.5" Tusker on my vest in the Spec Ops sheath you supplied.

The vest is designed in such a way that the lower half of it flips up/down. It is difficult to mount a knife in a vertical position; however, the Spec Ops sheath laced into the MOLLE webbing horizontally without problem. The size was perfect for horizontal carry. Never had an issue with it while climbing in and out of helicopters, MATV's, or up mountains.

Great knife--you make one of the best handles ever. I was really happy to have your knife, a reliable knife with me.

I think you'll be glad you did. Scott makes a great blade.

He put a brass guard (single) on this one for me--I thought it was important for a military application. My other Tusker is guardless, and I really like it without the guard.

Welcome back Rotte.....Dig the Tusker. I have the same one, but with a stainless guard. Its a great knife. If I were deploying no doubt it would be joining me. Glad your back safe.
