Hi Stomper -

Thanks for the knife for Emily! I am sure she will be excited to get it!

For the folks here, I had posted a thread in general a while back about my granddaughter Emily - she was using a pair of fingernail clippers, clipped onto her pocket, so that she could have a knife like her grandpa (me :D ).

Here is a link to that thread -

I mentioned that it would be cool if someone, Spyderco for instance, made a little knife for kids that had a clip but no edge or point at all, so they could have a clip-knife like their dad or grand-dad.

Stomper sent this knife along with my Knatchet, which I received yesterday:

Thanks again, Stomper - Emily and I both really appreciate your kindness!

Pictures and initial impressions of the Knatchet can be found at the following link:

Here is a teaser - the Knatchet turned out wonderfully! I'll have it at the skills gathering for sure.

You are very welcome, I hope Emily like it. It`s just been gathering dust since my daughter finished a weapon retention training class she took. I had an old Delica sitting around, so I ground off the edge and point.

JK, kudos for your gesture. Would love to hear the story 40 years from now when her daughter wants to know why mommy's knife does not have an edge on it . . . :)
This is how one generation's heritage get passed down to the next.
