Hi guys & gals!

At the beginning of this year I made a thread about where you could post your traditional-knife-related wishes for 2013. On my personal short list there was the Case Texas Jack and some others... So far, so good.

Some weeks later Ed (TLARbb) wrote me a message that he has something, he wants to send to me. I asked for a trade and he told me, he doesn´t want to have a trade. What a great generous gesture. And today (after oneandahalf week shipping from the US to Germany) a little package arrived! That´s a pretty good time for shipping to Germany.

I got my 62032 in the mail today! Look at this great looking knife!

That knife is of great condition. No gaps and bladeplay with a really great F&F and a pretty good walk and talk.

Thank you so much Ed, for sending me this great gift!! :)
I really like the whole shape of this Case design. It´s a just a great knife.

Not only a kind gesture, but that's a very good example of CASE's Amber Bone.

You'll find this a tidy knife to use!

Another generous act by a member!

I also just received one of these - you're going to really like it!

Wonderful gesture and I'm so pleased to hear it has helped you fulfill part of your wish list.

It sure looks like a great lil knife. The jigging on the scales are particularly good looking.

Congratulations.

I just received one of these today too! Really nice knife, nice in the pocket and in hand. Mine has a little gap in the spring area, but its gonna be a user, so I'm not too concerned.

Congrats Andi!!
and great gesture TLarbb!

your gonna have to let me know how you feel about it in comparison to your gec66 (which is on MY shortlist for 2013)
i kinda wonder how they compare ;)

Definitely a great knife. I have one just like it in my pocket right now!

Thanks for posting Andi. I was hoping it would be getting to you before the weekend.

I really like that knife. I have carried it and used it lightly. I hope it serves you well. Your 66 caused me to buy one of those. It is an excellent EDC as well.

My postman delivered a blue bone with red shield mini copperhead this afternoon. Case does a really good job on that blue bone. As they do on the amber bone.

I wanted to get a brand new TJ from the local Ace hardware for you, but the first time I went in there to get it, the sales associates seemed to have other things to do. When I went back in the second time, they had sold the only one they had. So, my option at that point was to send you mine. I hope you are okay with a "slightly used" one.

Ed J

Thanks for the kind words, fellows :) Much appreciated.

Case did really a great job on their Amber Bone. I really like the different side of jigging and color on each side of the handle.

In some time - when light is getting better outside, I gonna make a comparison and my own thoughts about the #66 and the 62032, hopefully ;)

Ed: I almost love the knife as it is. It will always remind me the great guy that gave it to me and the gesture behind the knife when I add it for EDC and use it. The knife has no gaps or any other flaws. It´s in brilliant condition and the slightly used condition makes it really great for me. I can´t thank you enough for sending me this nice knife.

That's a great knife Andi, have fun using it.

Ed, you're definitely one of the best!!!

I think you got a little better sample of the handle material than I did :). Mine has more blackening the in valleys and the jigging isn't quite so broad as yours.

Next time I think I'll just send Ed my money and let him hand pick a pretty one rather than ordering sight-unseen over the Internet. ;)

I'll echo what others have said---Congrats Andi. Ed, a great gesture:thumbup:

Nice one Andi! I really like the looks of Case's amber bone, and that one looks great!

Tlarbb, very nice gesture:thumbup:

Fabulous work Ed, you did a wonderful thing!! I am sure you will love it Andi!! I recently got an old one and I just adore this things. It is one of those "definitive traditional knives" that one must have in their collection.

Very cool Andi. I believe you'll enjoy it more as time goes on watching the patina develop. Case CV ages very well.

Ed' s a great guy, I'm just afraid he's gonna run outta knives at this rate. ;)

Congrats on the new addition.

Well done Andi!! that is a great looking knife! what a class act by Ed ... good on you Ed, and congrats to you Andi :)

Wow, Andi-- what a wonderful gift! Your photographs do it proud, but better yet is your carrying it.

You already know how good Case's amber bone can look with a well-used carbon blade. I can't wait to see your pictures in the days and weeks (and months) ahead. The Texas Jack is a strong, good, do-it-all pattern; I especially like how substantial the secondary pen (spear?) blade is.

Ed, you've done it again-- good on you! What a generous gift.
