(This was meant to be posted last night, but by the time my dad got off the phone with all of my relatives I had already passed out)
My dad came home, finally. Nothing's as nerve-wracking than not knowing what's going on; my mom was transferred just yesterday and I have no number to reach her and don't know exactly where she was transferred to; plus my dad didn't get home until 9:00 pm with no way for me to find out how my mom's doing.
Well, he finally came home. He said the doctors have almost totally ruled out emphysema. They now have her on blood thinners, believing it to be a blood clott. I'm just thankful that it's treatable.
I'd like to think that everyone here had something to do with it; if nothing more than helping me get through this. I'd like to also thank docpat for putting up with me. Thanks buddy.

But, thanks again, and so far it's good news.

Bob

We hope and believe we helped.

"Putting up with" in-laws, salesmen, IRS and polticians is very trying. With friends, it's just what you do. Hang in.

Ditto what Walosi said.

Glad it turned out as it did; I kinda suspected it would.

But that's easy said when it's not your mom.

My Dad had his heart attack when I was a freshman in college . . . If it wasn't for my then-girlfriend (a helluva girl) I'd have imploded that week.

Glad to hear that they ruled out emphysema and that it is treatable...sounds a lot more positive than it did a couple days ago.

Prayer works, I have seen too many miracles to not believe in it. God be with you and your family.

Glad to hear that your mom is doing well!

Sorry I missed your earlier thread about prayers needed

There are so many posts on this forum, if you miss a day or two, you miss alot.

I was in the hospital Sat & Sun, with fluid on the lungs ( being held hostage for umpteen liters of urine )& then flat on my back at home with R2D2 pumping concentrated 02 into me early this week.

It just got past me about your mom.

I'm sorry. I wish I'd known so I could add to the wishes for her recovery. Praying for her probably would have ended up helping me more than her anyway ( big grin ), but am at least doing so belatedly.

But it's comforting to know here that if one of us misses the word, the rest take care of it anyway.

BTW I did call back and reschedule one doctors appointment from next Wednesday to the next cold day in hell.
