I had a close Aunt die after years of battling a failing liver and kidneys on Sunday. She had 5 liver transplants and 1 kidney transplant over a period of 13 years. She was given months to live over 7 years ago and fought hard to stay alive.....daily dialysis and other things that I can't bear to imagine.

I just got back from a pre-funeral church meeting and just wanted to thank everybody here for providing a place to take my mind off of things for awhile and talk about things that I enjoy. I'll be attending the funeral tomorrow, and then hopefully my HEST and ESEE-3MIL-S will arrive to distract me some more.

Not looking for pity, just really enjoy reading everyone's posts.

Joseph

Sorry to hear that Joseph. Just lost a high school friend of mine in a car accident last weekend, he was only 25. Visitations are toughest for me because the family doesn't want to be standing up there and what can I possibly say to a mother who just lost her son?

This forum is a great place to take your mind off things that's for sure. Take care and my thoughts are with you and your family.

Sorry for your loss. Glad the forum was helpful for ya.

I find that, for me, some time in the shrub always cleans the soul and helps to ease the pain of lifes ups and downs.

You got that right brother. It's nice to do that stuff with someone but there are time when a little time alone is just what a person needs. Start a fire, make a cup of coffee. Don't think about anything in particular, just do as you please.

Sorry for your loss, Joseph. These things are tough regardless of what their age is. I had a friend lose his unborn son this morning. His wife was 23.5 weeks pregnant. They unfortunately have tried numerous times but this is the first time they knew whether it was a boy or a girl.

I am praying for you and your family.

Unfortunately for us, life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. And you will go forward. And there is not a damn thing we can do about it.

Sorry about your loss. :(

I know how you're feeling, having been through the loss of close family members more then a few times over the last few years.

Well said!

Obsessis, condolences to you and yours. I know what you mean. My mother in law passed from cancer in late October and I spent a lot of sleepless nights on this forum just reading and taking my mind off of things.

Peace brother.

Condolences to you & your family Joseph. It sounds like your aunt was a special lady & I'm sure you will miss her. Thoughts & prayers your way my friend.

Glad to have you on the forum!

obsessis,

Sorry about your loss brother. It's tough, I know. I'm going to do something that most folks will probably consider mean and close this thread. No disrepect intended by me doing this.
