Again I have been the recipient of forumer generosity. I have responded to a few posts about 3 dots and my desire to have one. Flat has been kind enough to send me a factory modified fingergroove 3 dot user of his. It is rock solid lock up and closing snap. The finger grooves are very cool and well done(apparently by a Buck employee at the factory for personal use prior to fg being available on the 110) Just wanted to show it off and publicly thank him. Thanks g!

Very good looking 110FG. The slabs are not laminated and one side looks lighter than the other. A nice gesture, Flat!!

I will, jb. That was a condition of the gift, that I give it a good workout. Its a perfect knife for that-strong as an ox.

I didnt know that about Bos, Flat, thats real good info:thumbup:

Concerning the different shade scale: I noticed that and my guess is that the employee modifying it may have boogered up the original and installed the lighter one. just a guess cause she's mounted on there like original equipment.

Thanks for the comments:)

Yes, I agree JB . He's been very good to many here . The type of stand out we admire in this forum . We have several here and other forums have none .
So, thanks go out to Flatlander .

Ima, On the different shaded wood slabs . I don't think they were ruined and required changing as I have several 110's and 112's with different colored slabs on each side . They just didn't match them up well . DM
