Well... this is my 2nd post i think. just got my HI CAK in the mail a couple days ago. These pics are from the day I got it. I just gotta say, what a beautiful piece of work this is! There's alot I could say about this beauty, but I think I'll just let the pics do the talking. But first I just wanna mention what a great experience I had talking with Yangdu about the right Kuhkri for me, and just how super cool she was. It was truly a pleasure making this purchase! Thank you Yangdu and Himalayan Imports for such a lovely experience! Now on to the pics :)

Welcome MarcSpector!
Glad you like you new CAK!
May it serve you well for years to come.
Your khukuri was made by Rajkumar (the prince)Kami. He is noted for making some highly refined pieces.

MarcSpector,

Congrats on your new CAK. They eat wood like chainsaws. Get used to hearing the word "wow" a lot.. :-)

Congratulations on your new khuk MarcSpector. Welcome to the club and the Forum. You are aware that this is only the beginning, aren't you? There are many more khukuris in your future. Also, if you haven't already, then please read the Safety Sticky. We'd like to have you around for a while.

lol thanks guys. I know this won't be my first...I have my sights set on a Chitlangi, anyone have any experience with the Chitlangi or how it compares with the CAK? I know it is lighter, and is made with a slightly different purpose in mind but I've heard the CAK is the Kuhkri by which all others can be compared. I would also like something fancy I can hang in my living room, like maybe a Hanuman, what a beautiful blade! After those, I know there will probably more. My poor wallet. Can't wait to really put this thing to work! thanks again for the welcomes and to HI! I've also got my buddies turned on to HI, one of them is already eye-ing that AK Bowie o_o

I've got one Chitlangi and have handled a couple. Good khuk and Wolf will say that they're the best....at least for him. And though the Chits are good, personally I prefer the Chainpuri which is somewhat similar to the Chit in general shape and weight without the fullers and the brass at the pommel. My favoritest is the Gelbu Special. Just go with what you'd like and you can't hardly go wrong.

shouldn't a CAK have the fullers/waves in the blade? BEAUTIFUL handles on that one! good looking knife!

No, a CAK or Ang Khola will not have fullers (chirra). It will only have the "back hollow" which is what Ang Khola means in nepali.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about, but actually going back and looking at the pics, I see they are there now - the pics didnt show them at first, but it's still got the packing stuff on it so they just didn't show as well, but are indeed there.

Still a great looking knife with some beautiful horn handles - I'm really partial to th3 horn, especially when they have the real high figure like that! Can't wait for mine to arrive!

yeah, that little fuller is there, pretty subtle though... I like the horn handle but next I might go for wood handle, just to see what it's like.

Great pictures, welcome to the HI and forum
