Thanks you guys, have this villager here about done, just need to touch up edge now and do a little clean up. 20 coats of tru oil, first 15 getting hit up with ultra fine steel wool between coats, last 5 getting a wet sandning with 1000 grit, and then a coat of johnsons' wax at end. After reshaping handle and convexing edge. Makes for a darn purty khuk made from a regular villager. Will post pics once I can borrow friends cam and take some

Will be waiting to see it. And I still haven't found a copy of Heinlein's Tunnel in the Sky to reread yet. It has to be out there in the garage, along with a .25 thick 4.5" square ( or somewhere about that size ) of ivory originally meant to go on my 3rd generation SAA. Arrrrgh!!!  :p
