Myself and the little guy spent the weekend in Atlanta for our first Blade show. I didn't plan on going to the show on Sunday, but Gus tried all day Friday and Saturday to meet Ernie and didn't make out because he was so busy and we didn't want to bother him.

Anyways, Gus asked if we could go back so he could try one more time to meet Ernie, so of course we went. We made our way to the booth and I'll be darned, Ernie was there and most kindly made himself available. Ernie insisted on he and Gus being photographed holding knives, so he reached behind the counter and grabbed a CQC-7 for Gus to hold. Naturally I bought it afterwards, and while one guy was boxing it up, someone handed Gus a hat, and someone else gave him some stickers.

It was really great chating with everyone and hanging out for a bit and wanted to stop by your forum and say thanks.:D

That's definitely a memory your son will cherish. From what I've seen from watching various YouTube videos, Ernest Emerson seems to be a hell of a guy.

Great story and congratulate Gus on his new knife!

This is the kind of thing he will remember the rest of his life. Hat's off to Emerson and the gang and let's not forget the great dad that made it happen!

Thanks everyone!
Yeah, I think the best part of the whole weekend was knowing that my little guy had such a great time.
This afternoon he was outside doing yard work and earning money for next year.

Sounds like it was a great father-son bonding moment that he will remember for years to come . . . . and a tip of the hat to Ernie for making your show end on such a great note.
Excellent stuff . . . .
Be safe.

Very cool. Wish I could have made it south for blade show this year (5 hour drive). Oh well...maybe/hopefully next year.
