They didn't have to do it, but being the kind of guy he is, and the kind of company that Carbide Processors is, Tom Walz selected two winners of a Camillus Talonite EDC (designed by our own Darrel Ralph).

It seems Tom forgot to tally the internet entries after he announced a drawing following Knives Illustrated having honored the EDC.

Now, let's face it, Tom could've just picked a winner and let it go at that, but no, he made a second drawing just to ensure that those who had entered the contest via the net were included.

I think we call that "standup" behavior.

I'm proud to have won the EDC even moreso because of the character of the giver.

Thanks, Tom Walz, and Carbide Processors.

Thanks, Hunka. Any Talonite knife I carry carries some of your spirit in it. Come to think of it, this is the first Talonite blade I have that wasn't made by you. ;)

DDR did a great job on this design. It's a classic like my custom Apogee. (And my ArcLite in S90V).

It'll be carried with pride.

(And thanks to you Will and Wallace and Phil for doing it right.)

Congrats Blues! Tom has been a straight shooter since day one. They don't come any better!

It's getting thrown right into the carry rotation. Thanks, guys.

Big congrats!!! The EDC is the one production knife that constantly competes with my Seb for carry. Love that talonite!!!

Dear Blues,

I didn't answer because I am embarrassed. I had to check the name on my driver's license to make sure you were talking about me.

But thank you for the compliment. It just seemed like the ’knife guy’ kind of thing to do.

Tom
