My 25" Kumar Kobra just arrived and it is perfect in every detail! I hadn't seen pictures or even gotten a description of it so the wood handle,habaki bolster and dragon-tooled scabbard were all pleasant surprises. This is the first khukuri I've recieved that I won't modify the handle on...it's just right. Now I understand how my other knives are "blems" Thanks again Uncle and thanks Tom for turning me on to a khuk I would not otherwise have had the pleasure of knowing!

The edge had quite a burr on it and it's taking longer than I expected to work it off...any idea how hard this blade is uncle?

It actually only took a few minutes with my pocket crock stick to get it shaving. Best sharpener around for under three bucks! I wouldn't trust myself freehand, just don't have the touch....This blade just sings!

Ok, and I like that song they make unless they happen to be too hard. Maybe 1 in 100 get up there above 60 Rc and that is too much. But if you got it fixed up in a few minutes I doubt that the blade is too hard.
