Hello everyone, just wanted to share an awesome HI customer service experience.

Early December I ordered an 18" WWII with a KMF sheath from a DOTD. Waited a weekend and received the shipping "tube" on Monday. Immediately after opening the package I noticed what I assume to be shipping damage:
(need to work on my picture taking)

I assume somehow the end of the package was slammed on the ground with a fair amount of force. Here is how it should look in the sheath:

I contacted Yangdu to collect information for filing a claim with USPS, but she explained that it would be easier and quicker to send a replacement sheath. The replacement arrived 2 days later :)

I'm really enjoying the WWII, the handle is a bit smaller in diameter and little flatter than the handles on my CAK and Bahadur, makes it feel more lively in hand.

My small collection:

Thanks again Yangdu!

I can't see your photos (yet), but I assume that you now have an extra "beater" KMEF sheath you can use when it's rainy etc.

If you can't see the photos, the damage to the sheath occurred between the plastic d ring on the tip and the first rivet on the belly of the sheath, where the WWII's edge was forced though the layers of leather and cut the stitching. A 1.5" length of edge sticks out about 1/8"-1/4" if the khuk is fully inserted into the damaged sheath. About 3/4" of blade shows when inserted into the replacement sheath.

I'll try to fix the damaged sheath after the holidays, and probably will use it as a beater then. :)
