You're welcome!! ;) :p

Thank you guys for hosting us - was a great time and hell....I learned a lot :D

Olga and the all the Bodycote Team,

I just want to say "Thank-You" for the hospitality Sat eve and the customer service the Team at Bodycote Greensboro have extended to me.

Folks, this is one first class organization, headed by Darrell Lewis, who believe in complete customer service and satisfaction. The knife in the pic (D TAC II) went to the SECKS show with a bead blast gray finish. The customer who wanted to take her home and I decided it might be really cool with the new Tungsten DLC coating from Bodycote. Darrell and his team were at the show Sat and stopped by the table while the customer and I were talking about it. I ask what the chances were for the knife to be coated tonight, only kidding. Darrell got on his cell phone, hung up and then whispered something to his Process Eng Chip, and then the next thing I know the knife is off the table and out the door headed to their facility some 25 miles away. I then attended the dinner and open house at Bodycote that Sat evening, and then upon completion of the facility tour they presented me with the coated knife, complete with the scales assembled back on the knife! Now that my friends is what I call customer service. My customer was able to see the knife coated on Sunday morning, liked her as much as I did, and now is the proud owner of the knife.

That DLC coating is tuff stuff, as we tried and could not, scratch through it with sharpend knives, keys or anything else for that matter.

Thanks again to Darrell and all the Greensboro Bodycote Team!

Kindest regards,
David Dempsey

A little romance, some jewelry from Jot Singh Khalsa's table and that tiger stripe Crowfoot is now all mine. :D :D :D

Thank you for a very enjoyable evening! The Open House was great and some of the things we saw (like peering in the little window to see the coating process in action) were just amazing. Plus you fed us and gave us knives. What more could anyone ask for?!

Great score Dave! Good for you, as we all wanted the Crowfoot. Enjoyed getting to see you and the wife again.

Hey Keith, believe it or not, that is a DD pic with an inexpensive HP digi and lots of trial and error. Thanks for the compliment anyway:)

Oh ya, Bodycote ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

David

Olga - No, thank YOU guys for putting on a relaxing and informative evening for all of us. Granted, I was out there several weeks earlier and got a preview of what we were in for during the open house. Darrell, Olga, Chip, and Ronnie the "Redneck Exec" all went out of their way to make sure we felt at home that night and to answer all of our questions. I will definitely be bringing more of my stuff out there to have coated in the future.

David - great pic!! I don't think I've seen any knifemaker as excited as you were that night when you got your knife back, fresh out of the machine :D

I hate that I missed out on all the excitement but I had to be at the show banquet. Sounds like you guys and gals had a great time.

On the bright side, Bodycote is only a short drive (50 miles) from my house.

Hey Phillip, you forgot another bright side: you came stop by to harass me in person :D

Dex,
Having a twin brother is advantageous. :D

Olga,
I am real sorry that I too missed the open house last saturday. It was nice to meet you though.

Barry & Phil,
Okay which is making my new knife? Good or evil? Knowing will determine how I deal with it & when I carry it - will I be carrying it when I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside & at peace with the world or when I'm in a badass, kick-butt, take-no-prisoners mood! It's important to know things like this - carrying it on the wrong day can screw you up bad - need to know which vibes dealing with? Doesn't matter which - definitely place for both. :D :D :D

Have a great day!
Bill
P.S. Those swords are way toooo keeewwwwllll! Ww will talk later!!!!

Hey penguin,

Actually, both Barry and I will be making that folder.
I will grind the blade and Barry will do the handle work.

See you in Timmonium!

Sorry I missed the open house but I know where you are now so maybe I can stop by one day for a tour :) I have had one of my knives coated and I really like it so I plan on getting a few more done. Tell Darrell to keep up the great work!
