This year I had a number of customer service experiences - these are the people that I want to say thanks to - no particular order:
Kershaw : Great tools - nice people - parts are available and very promptly shipped.Stand behind their products even after years of EDU.
Emerson - needed washers for a couple of knives - had 'em within a week. Then realized a third knife also had the wrong washers in it- those showed up within 5 days.I was at least the third or fourth owner of these knives ( from two different guys) - so wasn't Emerson's fault - still they took care of me.Appreciated.
David Mosier. David will build you what you want and do a masterful job of it. Does what he says he'll do and finishes in the time he promised.Great customs from a great guy.
Grant and Gavin Hawk. Innovators.Frankly - if more folks used knives as opposed to collecting 'em - their clip from the original MUDD would be near universal. Both their original and the K'MUDD are simply outstanding knives -especially for those of us cursed with wearing gloves for 6 months out of every year.Have only dealt with Gavin - but he stands behind their products and does what he says he'll do when he said he'd do it. Looking forward to what will be new from Hawk.
Steve Rice - better known as STR. The man has spoiled me - it is now hard for me to carry a knife unless one of his clips is on it. Really - if you haven't tried a lowrider clip - you're missing something important. His posts have finally allowed me to get some grasp of how the various locks work ( I'm slower than the average turtle.) Could double his prices and they'd still be a deal.Nice guy with the patience of a saint.
Vadim G. at Vess leatherworks. Beautiful and functional sheaths. Some knives just don't work with a clip - his sheaths give you secure carry and the functional utility of being able to get to your tool when you need it.
BladeTech - needed a new clip and they sent it out - only own one of their knives - but another one is probably in my future. And i still had STR put a lowrider on it.
Chris Reeve Knives. Patient people who somehow avoided sending me a "R U Nuts" e-mail.CRK grease is what i use - will probably take years to use up a single tube.Have only owned two and handled about 6 others - but the consistent high quality of their products is extremely impressive.
To all of you fine people - best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year !!!
