Most of the Chopping was done on Mesquite(a VERY hard wood that lets you know Real Fast how well your knife chops/cuts)

I spent about an Hour going from one to another knife to find out the good and bad points of each.

They are subjective of course-YMMV

The Top Kelsey Creek is a great chopper but too heavy for most other tasks if another Knife was available.(like all Good Choppers)

The Second Kelsey is a lot lighter and faster-and has a more comfortable grip(to me)--Best OVERALL of the 4 I tested if you could only have one of the 4.It's like a refined Camo Tramp.

The Siegle is VERY HEAVY(actually it's the heaviest one of these 4)-
Chops GREAT for it's size but it also too heavy for any extended fine cutting chores.it would be great as a SAR knife or a BOB knife).

The Yard Keeper has a VERY comfortable handle. It's too small to chop well-but does cut and slice a lot better than I expected it to.It's like a small TANK really, and most people who hold it say it's one of the most comfortable handled knives they have ever used.

Hope you enjoy the photos

I always get big knife envy when you post pics ;) I love that top Kelsey Creek, great size and excellent blade shape

tkknife, I'm with you. Always have had a hankering for the above average size knives, but they just seem to fit me better than the so-called average knives. I think I might have to begin a search for that top Kelsey Creek model in the near future.

WILLIAM.M, great shots of the knives & outdoors. Thanks for allowing us to come along with you.
Be safe.

Hey Doc, can you give us some specs on that first one, the Kelsey Creek spear point, please? I checked their web site and it doesn't give any specs on anything. Thanks.

Very nice. I didn't realize that Waco had such nice wooded areas. Oh yeah, great knives, too.

dr. bill i always enjoy your comments. lots of pics & lots of knives. well it's finally getting cooler in our part of the world so the chop offs wo'nt make us sweat as much. as usual the best to you.
