We typically throw a few extra birds in the deep freezer during Thanksgiving time for enjoying later the following year. Here is a 15 lb'er that has been in the freezer since last November. Hope it's good!

The Hinderer played no role in the cooking or prep but it was fun to take pictures :p

Looks great! How long and what temp did you cook? I've heard nothing but good things about BGE's.

I did build the table... You can buy a factory made table from BGE as well as from many custom craftsman (big $$$), but I sketched some plans together and gave it a go.

It's not perfect, but it was a fun project made out of about $100 in cedar lumber and $50 in other materials.

And wow that is great work on the table!!! That might inspire me.... I need to build a man cave desk/table for all my manly knives, guns, cleaning knives/guns, and all the cool propoganda!! :D

Thanks guys!

Inlay on the tabletop is just a standard flooring tile... I can put hot stuff on it without worrying about burning up the wood.

The egg sits on four thick concrete blocks/pavers.

If you really want to see some cool stuff the 'Egg Heads' have their own forum. :-)

great work on the homemade table!

and that "turkey cooker" cant say i have ever seen anything like it :D

I'm thinking you need a big green scale to go with the big green egg. Pond scum would go well.
