Thanksgiving INFI Carving

Who carved their dinner with INFI?

I didn't carve the turkey with it, but I used my HD to cut up what was on my plate.:p

I can't say that I did. I had an LEO's wife freak out on me just because I showed him a few customs on the knifeart website.
I think she needs to get out a little bit more.

I have read posts where people use their knives on food products but is the coating Busse puts on their knives toxic? Since Ive read its proprietory Im sure there not gonna share what is exactly in it. Im only talking about the crinkle coated knives of coarse. I think this is an honest question even though Ill probably get flack for it.

I used my DCSHBM on the 2 birds we had at lunch yesterday.... tried to break it out at the dinner lastnight but got the evil eye when I took it out of the truck :D

That's what the N.I.C.K. is for.

Brings a new meaning to "Nick at night"

N.I.C.K. --1, Turkey--0 (Cept for the Knockout after the meal :D )

Not like the Year I used a Combat grade Mr. Mojo on the Dark meat and a Limited on the white. :p

Alright, I'm not the only one. My wife made her first T-Day dinner in our new home and I insisted on using my Snakeskin SJT to carve the bird. I got laughed at for my enthusiasm, but the laughter subsided when the family saw the blade do what it does best. The wife even took pics. Yes, silly I know, but fun.:D ;) No pics of slicing, but it did better than any kitchen knife I've used.

I have read it's a simple mixture of kryptonite, Infi, and unobtainium, fused together in a fission reactor and then super cooled in CBL. I could be wrong about the kryptonite though. :D

We had dinner at my sister's yesterday. I know any such knife would have been frowned upon.

I got my Meaner Street 2 weeks ago. Since then I have used it to skin, grill and eat chicken twice and used it to cut up deer bologna and pepper sticks.

Nice pics, mymindisamob. Thank you for sharing.
I have used my Meaner Street as a kitchen knife. It cuts steak really well.

Not this year, but maybe for Christmas. I want to get my AD sterilized and use it to cut the cord on the next kid I have (not food related I know, but it just illustrates how sick the mind can become when it is INFIcted)!

No flack!! It's an honest question. I think that the answer is that, "it may be harmful, but very unlikely to come off during food prep."

I personally do not want to take a chance, I like to use my knives in the kitchen. For that reason alone all of my users must not have a coating.

I mean let's face it, the only reason any knife is coated is to bring down production costs. True, coating a carbon blade will help prevent rust, but so will proper finishing and care.

I personally think that is a cool idea! If I wasn't done with bringing more INFInts into the world, I'd have to steal this idea!:D ;)

WHAT?!?!?!?! I am not the first guy on here to think about it. :D Heck, someone probably already did it. :D

Waitress, forget the check, another round for the house, make his a double.

According to the folks that make those other blades from Wauseon, the coatings are completely non-toxic.

After Thanksgiving dinner, my mother-in-law decided all those folks she just fed should earn their dinner, so poolside we went to assemble a "winter wonderland" in our shirt sleeves. I carried my HD in the RH carpenter pocket of my Carharts, sheathed of course, Carharts aren't THAT tough:D.

Anyway, we were trying to get the base off of a couple of artifical christmas trees and after someone pulled one off and almost gave themselves a hernia, I whipped out the HD and used the spine to beat the plastic base off, it flew a good 5-6 feet. Then I did another, being careful not to cut myself with the edge, and then there were no more to beat and I was sad. Beat a little of the coating off of the spine, nice character marks:) We don't need no stinkin' hammer:D

Greg, I also like to carry fixed blades in the carpenter pocket on my Carharts...Good stuff. :D
