Celebrating good fortune at harvest time can hardly be considered an American tradition. What would the German holiday equivalent be for you Herbert? Glückliche Erntedankfest?

Wow, two more beautiful Turkey knives. Thanks for showing them.
I've seen these boxes only in pictures. What is the lid made of?

Thank you, DSS! That's correct.
Yes, we celebrate the Erntedankfest (thanks for the harvest party) It is similar to Thanksgiving but we don't have turkeys and it is earlier in the year, in Oktober. It is a christian celebration mainly in the church.

The lid of the Box looks like an artificial stone or glass. It looks like corian to me, but I'm not sure.

All the best,
Haebbie

Beautiful knives Guys, DeSoto, is that 424 Ivory or Ivory Rucarta ?

oregon, that wild hand turkey pic made me laugh! Sure it's not Wild Turkey hand? ;)

Happy Thanksgiving Buckaroos

Happy T-day to all... I have no turkey knives... But here's two pics of my daughter-in-laws turkey knife...

No turkey knives here either, but here is my Turkey carving setup for this years bird. I think this old 105 will make real short work of getting the meat off the bones for slicing :)

No turkey knives here either, but I am enjoying the picture show!!:thumbup:

Of course oregon didn't have a turkey knife either, but he still got in on the show. :D

The turkey is holding the knife in my case! I was hoping that you would enjoy my artistry. Thank you for your indulgence/patience. :) Right back atcha with the happy Thanksgiving wishes.

The knife is made of the normal BuckLite handel material, just white. Valox? They are referred to as the "scrimshaw" series but the image is really just printed on the plastic.
