What are you going to carry, use, or gift? From your edc pocketknife to your hunting knife to your traditional axe used for the woodpile or the early Christmas tree.
My first Thanksgiving with my new family will be at a restaurant this year. Hopefully next year will be at home. Wishing all my Porch friends the happiest of times.
I'll be carrying this John Lloyd trapper in mammoth ivory just in case I decide to cut my turkey fancy style. I'll also have my Case Bose lockback whittler just because and since it's a holiday I know I'll add at least one more.IMG_1695-01-1024x962.jpeg

This one will be in my pocket for it’s second Thanksgiving since I’ve received it. It’s the prettiest knife I own so any time I’ll be dressing up or going to an event I’ll drop my Bloodwood 48 into my pocket. It hasn’t let me down yet, and I actually receive a lot of compliments on it too.

There's a lot to be said for restaurants.
For our first Thanksgiving without Mom, we've ordered a couple of turkey dinners from Hardings. I'll carve in the kitchen, but now you've mentioned it, I'll bring up a ceremonial carving set.

My sister's kids are coming up from St Louis just for the day, which I think is above and beyond of them. I'll try to have some Christmas lights up for them.

Nice idea for a thread, Alan. Thanks.
Wishing the best of the season to all you porchsters. Hope you all have a great day with family and friends.
We'll be spending the first part of Thanksgiving Day at home with our two sons, daughter in law and 3 grandkids. My wife will be in kitchen mode from sometime Wednesday, until I end up washing dishes on T day. Then it's off to have some desert with with my wife's sister and family, who live nearby.
I'll likely have this one in my pocket that day, and the foreseeable future.

Beautiful !
Can't beat a Trapper.
Tomorrow or Thursday morning (I got to work Wed.) I'll be bussssing out the Case Trapper in Red Bone & CV. It's my dedicated winter holidays knife. I got a nice patina going last year. It completed my Red, White and Blue to.
