This last year has been pretty weird and hard to believe it all started with researching for a new knife. When I settled on the BK-2 I had never heard of BF, Beckerheads or Ethan. It never even occurred to me their might be a forum with such diverse people from all over the world dedicated to a knife and the outdoors or that I would start a business based around the one thing I have always had a passion for, knives.

This year I am thankful for,

My other half for putting up with me and being understanding of the time I put in
The people of this forum for freely sharing their valuable skills and experiences and inspiring others to do the same
Those who shared their feedback, reviews and suggestions to help my work continually improve
The friends that I have made all over the world in the last year
The boys and girls in the military who have trusted me to meet their needs
The people who said 'Just build me something badass, I trust you', It's the highest compliment you could give me
The haters who hate, You just inspire me to work harder.

and last but not least, my biggest thanks go to Ethan whose designs led me down the road to quit working for myself and just doing what I love instead. In addition to providing the best damn knife, BK-16 :D, you also inspire people to do things they never thought possible, Thank you.

Happy turkey day everyone

What are you thankful for this year?

Self tapping screws. Those things are amazing.

And of corse beckers

BK-16 Nice!

I gotta start with my family. It's been a really tough year with my son, he's 17. Enough said. My wife, daughter and everyone else are doing great.
Next is having a job again. Got laid off. Sucked! Found a new one. Sucked a lot less!
Somehow managed to buy a few knives and got to know the greatness of owning a Becker or five. :D
Got my beckerhead # and still enjoying this community.
And last but certainly not least my new girlfriend Minnie!

Well of course I'm thankful for my wife and my two lazy sons who won't walk my dog. I'm also thankful for the real friends who stood by me when I was in a bad mind frame and lost my focus. I am also thankful for my dog Deebo..as he keeps me out of trouble and he's a good listener..when I have treats. He knows when my mood is off..and he gives me this face..all is good. Did I mention self tapping screws and Netflix ?

Employment...actually I'm just thankful for the paycheck
This community
Duct tape...and...self tapping screws

Self Tapping screws (except when they are in my tire)
Duct Tape (makes 'her' shouting much quieter ((This is a joke, this is only a joke. I really am thankful for duct tape though)))
Terra-cotta pots and 120mm fans (work great for smoking)

For a long time I haven't liked the fact that Thanksgiving had basically lost all thematic point as a holiday, and was simply a day off where everyone eats a certain type of meal. So I decided that this yeaer I was taking Thanksgiving back, at least in my heart. So everyone that's important in my life (my children, my folks, a few select friends, and my best friend/brother) gets a face-to-face or written expression of the specific reason that they cause me to give thanks.

The list:

my children, my folks, a few select friends, and my best friend/brother
living in the greatest country on Earth
having had the courage to make a difficult change and reclaim my future
a new future full of opportunity
a great (albeit very stressful) job
Reliable vehicles
instant and easy access to the necessities
Alesmith's Speedway Stout
my Becker BK-9
my GEC Conductor
my KA-BAR Cutlass machete
my Izula

i'm thankful for my friends and family most especially my wife, boston terrier and i'm also thankful that i can work and live too enjoy knives and this great forum thx all!!!

I thank God and I am very thankful for my Family, and seeing my Boys grow every day. I am Vet (20 Year Army Retiree) and thankful I am alive and have all my body parts. I am especially thankful this year because I have a job. I know alot of folks out there need work, I had my share of that way back before I joined the Army many moons ago and I pray to the Lord God our maker that he helps all of those looking for work. I wish all here on the forums a great Thanksgiving and may God Bless you all.

Great thread Skystorm.

I also wanna add, I am thankful for quality, American Made knives.
