Friends and family, this time of year it becomes top most in our thoughts. A close friend lost his father this month, flying home to put his father to rest, while only several years ago, also in November, his mother had past away, making November not such a great month for them. But, in all of that, they do remember those that are no longer with them.
Myself, my mother has moved on, my father, while still alive is far from me, both in distance as well as family feelings, he was never a very good role model, but still my father. I do not miss him, but I don't feel that makes me a bad son, just because a man was your father, doesn't make him someone you would look up to and admire. Harsh maybe, but the worlds is a harsh place sometimes. I'm remembering those that have inspired me through the years, my best friends father always seemed more of a role model to look up to and so I do. There are good men in this world, some leave far too early, some seem like they'll never leave, but time changes things, all things can change.
So, my thoughts today, those that inspire you, let them know that they do, you don't have to embarass them, but let them know that you do appreciate them, before they are gone.
And to my friends here on BladeForums, I wish you and your family a very warm and happy Thanksgiving!
