I wanted to thank andrew for recomending the satin jack on the knifeforum. I bought the knife from payback (very nice person, great to deal with) knife much better than discribed, just like new. have one question, this s.j. had a useable edge but I have had a hell of a time trying to get it shaving sharp. I have a lansky sharpener. I know these knives will hold a edge, my basic 3 is razor sharp. thanks again andrew

. As to sharpening, Busse knives have a special type of edge called the assymetrical edge. Basically, one side is flat ground, one side is convex. The flat side is on left side of blade when looking down at the spine.
