Just got my SH-E. I ordered it on Tuesday, 2 days ago. It also traveled cross-country, if that makes a difference. Andre, my thanks for your great service.

This is quite an impressive tool. I find the handle incredibly comfortable and natural. I thought this might be an area for concern, based on what many forumites had said regarding the E line as less comfortable than the straight ones. I can't imagine a more natural feel.

Man, I need to chop something with this. I don't even have a backyard (apt-dweller) to lop down some timbers. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go hiking for another few months here.

Come to think of it, I could "remodel" by making the living room a little larger and chewing up an inside wall. I have no doubt this brute would be up to it.

The Buy Brown kydex is a flawless piece of equipment and fits the Busse perfectly. It will be fun getting to use the Tek-Lok in different positions. Nice job, David.

My kudos to Jerry and his company for making the most serious chunk of steel out there.

Komondor,
Congrats, that sure got to you fast :D:D

Great Knives, great service that is what I love about this Company :D:D

Has your opinion changed since you received it, besides the handle, how is it different from what you had anticipated?

Kom,
don't be concerned about the handles. Everyone's hand is different. My hands fit the straight handles better, Andres hands fit the E handles better. (at least thats what we disscussed about the BM's). So all that matters is what feels good to you. Use the knife, chop with it, and you will know. The problem I have with the E handles is more of an impact brusing than any blisters or such. The handles are just a little wide edge to spine for my hands. It's your hands that matter.
Take that puppy out and beat the sucker to death. Thats the only way I justify spending 600.00 on a knife.:D

It's pretty much everything I imagined. I already have a Fallkniven A1, so I know how thick a blade can get.

The biggest thing that is really new to me is the awesome finger choil. With the index finger in that, it feels like you can do anything with this blade. (First time I have seen a real finger choil.)

I love the heft, it makes my A1 feel like a toy! And the A1 is formidable chunk of steel as well.

I didn't know what to expect from the Micarta. This is the first time I have ever seen Micarta, believe it or not. It is pretty cool. It looks nice, but it is tactical and rugged, as well.

Komondor,
Thanks for the additional info. :D

You got that right, that micarta is incredible, I don't know what makes it so tough but it sure is. I have hit mine full swing with a hammer and it caused no problems. It is also non-absorbant, and cleans up well.

Everything having to do with these knives is nuclear tough :D:D
