Hi everyone. Another new recruit here, so I wanted to introduce myself.

A couple of months ago, I was looking to round out my fixed blade collection with my very first Busse. Lurked on the exchange here for a while until I found one that really spoke to me… a Custom Shop SOB. I really liked the serrated swedge and double-cut finish, so I pulled the trigger. Once I received that beaut and finally held a Busse in hand, I realized what all the fuss was about. It just feels right.

(Please excuse the crappy quality of the pic.)

A couple weeks went by and I was really enjoying getting to know my SOB. But at the same time, I found myself continually going back to the exchange to check out the latest offerings. Before I knew it, my SOB had a new big brother to keep it company... an RMD that a fellow member was selling from his grab bag. (Explaining another back-to-back knife purchase to the wife sure was a blast.)

Had some fun using the RMD in the woods – but the damn exchange kept singing its siren song. It didn't take long before I was back here looking for yet another Busse. None of my current blades are longer than 5.5”, so I’ve been thinking a lot about the TG-M as a first foray into larger knives.

Lo and behold, I made an offer today on my third Busse – a TG-M in tanker gray. Damn, these things are multiplying! As Ron Burgundy wisely stated, “Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast!” It's definitely time to simmer...

By the way, I wanted to mention that this is a pretty cool forum. I’ve only been lurking for a couple of months, but it’s amazing to see the level of enthusiasm and camaraderie around here. It’s been interesting just picking up more of the brand-specific vocabulary… mummies, dings, talons and the tens of thousands of acronyms. Lot of learnin’ to do.

Yes, run while you still can... ;)

Welcome to the madness!!! :D Hide your wallet!

That's a great tale and knife. The double cut finish is also my favourite finish.

I say go for a full size Team Gemini LB.... You'll soon wonder how you ever got by before and be saving for a MOAB.

Welcome to the madness..... you had better start on the wife now because it's going to get kind of crazy.

Welcome, it's a great place with great guys and a couple gals....

Your homework assignment...research CBT, then acquire a blade with CBT...;)

Welcome to the madness! Hide your credit cards, I would say run while you can but it looks like it's too late

I liken the Busse exchange to the House of the Rising Sun in New Orleans. They've both been the ruin of many a poor boy.

Fun times. I remember my first. It wasn't lonely for long. I'm pretty sure I can quit whenever I want...... Really. I can.

I have a sad, sad tale to convey. Four years ago, I was a carefree, innocent lad, unaware of the Busse madness that was about to strike. With my next shipment from the Mothership, I will be closing in on 'kin number fifty. Talk again at 100? Aye!

I know what you are feeling, in Februari this year i was a all folder kinda guy/collector,
was at a meeting/gathering in northern parts of Sweden, 1 guy there (he hangs around this forum) had a bunch of Busse and kins,
i tought they looked kinda nice, after a few days back home from the meeting i went on to see the Busse webpage and saw the TG-P.

I just knew i have to get me one of thoose, so i orderd 1 in bruiser suite, just a few days after that i got a offer on FB for a B7 or B8 the guy wasnt sure what it was
so i bought it and when i got it home it turned out to be a B10LE choilless, and so on it went now 8 months later whit my latest purches's from the exchange 5 is on its way home to me
whit thoose i'm up to 17 and soon 18 whit the TG-P :)

Welcome to the addiction!

Wait till the Mistress bug bites you! --

You HOGS know the rules... This thread is useless without warning pictures! :D
