I own dozens of knives, maybe even approaching a couple of hundred, if I was to count. Most of them have been acquired relatively recently, but two of them Spydercos, I have had and used for many years. Despite owning much newer and some might argue nicer knives, the one that I grab, my go-to for in the yard or tougher duty, is an Endura Clipit that I acquired back in 1990 or early 1991. I've carried and used that knife for close to 20 years and its Seki City steel has yet to dull to the point where I would see the need to sharpen it. It's fully serrated and yesterday it cut through bags of mulch and trimmed branches like it was new out of the box and as solid as a rock. It's an old friend that has served me so well.
While Spyderco wouldn't be the first knife that I would mention when talking about knives (despite owning a Copilot, Persistence and Native3 that I think are great), but that doggone Endura Clipit has been the one that I have turned to for two decades. That certainly says a lot to me, a knife that is used that continues to serve.
Thanks Spyderco.
