Yup, it's friday. :D But not 5 yet. :(

What's the projects, plans, and excitement for everyone this weekend?

I'm going to a Hammer-in tomorrow so I'm pretty excited about seeing how the real knifemakers do it (my forging skills are pretty bad. :) ) Hopefully, Mr. Buxton brings some of his recent blades for me to check out.

searching the scrapyards in Phoenix for a makeshift anvil. Might grind the first bevel on a persian outline I have. TGIF!

cheers

Going to IG's to heat treat a home made anvil, modify a platen plate, and help clean up the shop and surrounding area for the NECKA hammerin next Saturday. YeeHaa :D :D

I started a pair of gut hooks yesterday....uhh I mean spurs  ;)
I got the bands cut out and forged (they even ended up the same size and shape and fit on my heel!), I'm hoping that with today and tommorrow I can make shanks and weld them together. Then I have to come up with a way to make studs for the straps to go on and do some clean up work.
Might put my name on the bands if it doesn't completely kill my dremel.
Sunday I'm going to a horseshow.

I'll be at Duncan's hammer in hoping you'll teach me how to do those harmon lines. By the way here's my iron in the hat. plain but wicked.

IG, your "extra hot" will require the local fire dept. standing by.

Ed's coming over and we're going to make some damascus and make up a "Happy Cat" (his logo) canister (big can) for him to do at George's Hammer-In next weekend.

He HT'd his anvil and burnt most of everthing else in the shop. He melted the switch for the blower, the secondary hose off the blower and even a plastic staple holding the wire for the lighting.

I'm not as hardcore as you all.

Mowed the grass, trimmed 200 feet of hedge, moved the people who keep junk out of my back yard :o , made a batch of Aquafortis and stained a hawk handle with it, heat treated the hawk, went to the shooting range, washed all the cars except my jeep, went to a yard sale and bought a 120 volt DC motor with controller :footinmou .........now tomorrow

I'm going on a 20 mile mountain bike ride  I am really feeling my age!

Whhoooeee, it was HOT wasn't it? Lots of fun though. Gotta admit, most of the people that go to IG's love fire.

Today, will just be a relaxing day, take in a movie with my Sweetheart, and do some riding on the bike (NO PEDDLES!).

Mon. thru Fri. after work, spring clean up in the yard, weather permitting.

See ya Saturday, IG :D :D
