So....

This is my first sword:) its short and stout like me, and I really want to keep it...

My first attempt at making a waki ended in me breaking it in half after trying to straighten it after HT 4 years ago! been too angry to try again.

This is not a super traditional waki, more modern with some old school for looks. I made this to be used but still look good. I hope I accomplished that?

Alphahunter tactical and I will be doing a short run of a tactical Waki in the future, this was to prove I could actually make one before I started:)

Handle is 6 layers of carbon fiber laminated together around a slightly narrowed full tang, bolted with 3 hardened 3/16ths chainring bolts, then epoxied to the tang. Tusuba is .5" carbon fiber laminated to the handle and tang. Then wraped in hollowed out coyote brown 550 cord, then epoxied in place to keep it there for ever.

Specs:
CPM154CM .200 thick, steel is from Aldo (NJsteelbaron.com)
Blade is 17.5"
Handle is 9.25"
Acid stone wash finish

vid is loading, much better than the pics!

that looks amazing brother. I would love to test that monster out. what do you think they are going to go for?

for sure man, if I get some time to do a sheath I was wanting some sort of carbon fiber that matched the handle. unfortunately that would drive the price up a huge amount since carbon is so expensive!
I was just wondering. I can see how a sheath could be made to match up the handle
