There is just something about GEC that really, really works for me. Is it the patterns? the materials? the variety? the packaging? -likely all of these factors as a whole. I just love the whole presentation. A new little cardboard tube showed up today....I rolled it in my hands a couple of times as I read the label, heck I might even have sniffed it once:eek: (call me crazy) and I popped it open. Then to gently unfold the wax paper.....I have never been disappointed with what I find. Today's flavor is something a little different for me. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the acrylic, but it turns out that I really like it. I don't feel it looks cheap, and it is so silky smooth to the touch that I can't put this knife down. As usual, great fit and finish. I am hooked on these things. (this is my first attempt at posting pics, so bear with me)

Sweet!
Are you liking the size of this pattern? I haven't tried it yet and am curious about the #66 in hand.

Yeah, I really like the size. 3.5" is my ideal edc. And I really enjoy the subtle serpentine profile.

It is lovely looking that one.

I am working on the 3 1/2" size. :D

No idea what the resistance is, like. A Victorinox is 3 /12" and I dont have anu problem with them. And I have a very loveable Bulldog spearpoint barlow at the same size. Perhaps it is time to duck in there :)

I carried that exact pattern in Rotten Banana everyday, right up until the time my Lanny's Clip arrived.

I really enjoyed the serpentine feel and the size just vanished in your pocket however it still has a substantial feel to it. It feels a lot bigger than it looks. I have to admit, I really miss having the small pen blade. I kind of got used to having it there. I left the tip a little dull and used it to clean out under my nails when I was done in the shop. Great knife. Congratulations.

even the smallest patterns of gec are produced with great attention to quality. let one one mistake the more petite lovlies with flimsiness, great eastern is & always has put utility & strength on an equal standing with aesthetics.--dennis

Opening a GEC along with a root beer float are some of life's greatest joys. IMO of course :p

I recently sold one exactly like it to so I could buy another knife.

I'm glad I got the other knife but now I miss my Ivory Acrylic #66 Jack.

Nice knife indeed and I like the white scales a lot. They look good and give the knife a unique appearance.

Nice score!

That is a nice one. I've had my eye on the #66 for a while now. I have a green velvet acrylic easy pocket congress headed my way from a trade, I hope I find the acrylic as favorable as you do.

Nice. The profile on that master blade looks great. I can't get enough GEC's either. Maybe a #66 should be my next...

gorgeus one there, I like the colour and classy looks

I have on in "rotten banana" UNXLD version I got as a gift for a huge order some time back
love it, awesome little knife, light comfy beautiful, the clip point blade got me hooked on the style

That rotten banana is very cool. And I love the swedge and long pull on that one. Nice knife Maxx.

I know what your talking about with ''The Smell''.
I put my pillow case in a GEC tube for a week, now I go to bed every night and imagine I'm sleeping in the factory.

thanks!

mine looks similar to that one, have no pic of mine, it's incredible how GEC made the bone look like the peel of a banana
looks great indeed, imagine my face when I found one extra knife in the package! ordered like 20 GECs for the italian forum and the seller was so nice he gifted me that one, had no money left for it and asked him if he could wait a month or so and he included it in the package, for free and without telling me

so it's a special knife to me, like a friendship gesture and when I carry it's a special knife
Maxx

I really like that knife, thank you for sharing. Im with you on getting new GEC's. They just feel right. I love everything about them including the smell :)
