What does everyone here like/dislike about knives made by older knifemakers versus the younger knifemakers who have not been at it nearly as long. By older, I mean that the older folks must have been knifemakers either for a very long time (25+ years) or must no longer make knives at all. And by younger, I don't necessarily mean age, but rather that the knifemaker still makes knives, but hasn't been making knives for 25+ years. To illustrate, just pulling some names out of the hat, Joe Cordova and Bill Moran would be examples of the former while Bailey Bradshaw and Joel Chamblin the latter.

Please compare and contrast as you see appropriate. And please, feel free to talk specifics -- names, prices, craftsmanship, durability (ie. user vs intended for display only), stylistic differences, etc. I know this is very subjective. Really, I am just trying to get an idea about what you all like and dislike, as well as your views on how custom knives have changed over the last 50-60 years.

Thank you in advance for indulging me, and providing me with a little bit more knowledge!

Chris
