That's about it for tonight.

Me too brother, I got Team Meetin' and Out Patient testin', Good Luck, I'll be thinkin' of ya. :)

I can't believe I failed an MRI. :(
Have to go back next week with painkillers.

Why didn't you study harder - you knew about the test in advance?:p;):D

J/K, I've never had an MRI but I think I would probably be going nuts and fidgeting like crazy.:o

Smoke sent for whatever is ailin' ya!

I had an MRI years ago and it was no big deal. Lie still for the 20 minutes and it's over. This time I went for a messed up lower back and lying there did hurt. My legs started shaking. Messed up the test.

Modern medicine is so strong, you need to be in perfect health to handle it.

I did the same thing with a shoulder MRI a while back. I was sweating bullets trying to stay still and "relax through the pain". Still ended up twitching too much. On the second run, I told them I had to be in a position that I could hold for 20 minutes. We found a compromise that worked better - though not perfect. I wonder if a good dose of pain killer would be worth a try? Good luck. Mike

I called my doctor afterwards. He's going to prescribe a painkiller and muscle relaxant. I don't take either, and I'm going to have to try them out before I go back.

Sheesh. I've had teeth drilled without anesthesia. This is annoying.

Take the meds and feel better. Ask your doctor for a Valium and ask for music before your test.

Good luck, Esav.

My only thought: don't drive till you know what the muscle relaxant does. If you have to, have a friend take you and drive you back.

Just saw your new post. MRIs are like being in a boiler factory with a madman with a ball peen hammer trying to get out.

I've had lots of them, some quite long, and all they did was give me some foam ear plugs. A headset? You're going to a classy joint.

Actually, I like my own choice of music, so I opted for the earplugs.
The noise doesn't bother me. I spent most of my life in NYC. I'm half deaf anyway. :D

I feel for you!I've thrown out my lower back numerous times, and even had a herniated disk.I go see a chiropractor every other month, and probably will for the rest of my life:eek:.I wish that I would have listened to my elders when I was younger about being careful with my back, but I knew better:rolleyes:.Anyway,I hope you get better, and prayers sent.

Everybody is feeling bad these days, man. Hope you get better shortly.

Esav, get better soon, man. (I hate MRI's - I had to lie still through one back in '07 for a kidney stone. I still don't know how I managed to stay still enough not to mess it up.)
