I'm officially done taking checks, I won't do it anymore. I've had 2 bounce in the last week, one was only $60 the other was $1400 and I can't handle this. My bank doesn't hold funds for out of town checks, but thats both good and bad, it's good because I can write checks on the money in the mean time, but bad if it doesn't clear. so now I'm sitting here with orders ready to be shipped, and about $400 in negative balance in the bank account! :thumbdn:

Both are from established customers, and I'm sure unintentional, so I won't smear they're names, and will give them a chance to make right, but I'm still left in the hole either way :(

If you have an order placed with me that's due, I'll have it out by the end of the week, but it might be friday before it ships.:barf:

when it rains it pours.... ask me about my dog's check up trip to the vet.... Grrrr:grumpy:

Hey Tony,
Lets see:
You live in a wonderful part of the USA.. as my kids called it when they were little, "Tail house ee" Fla. by the way my youngest "kid" is 2 years older than you are...
You do enough business where that much in checks were written and most likely will be covered once you run them thru again....hopefully
You get to be creative in your "fire and iron" career
You are probably healthy at a young and tender age
You get to make knives as well as ornate iron work and other neat stuff as a blacksmith....
And the last comment about the cost of your "pup's trip to the Vet" hit me between the eyes....a month ago yesterday my 16 year old "pup" didn't come home with me from the Vet's...and it still hurts a bunch she's gone.
Sorry, don't think I'm an old fool....but maybe am a sentimental old fool.
You have so much good ahead of you, be ticked at the situation of the moment, but don't forget you have a wonderful life ahead of you.
I do too, with a woman who has put up with my ornary old self for almost 40 years.
I wish you as much!... and the checks won't matter as much if everything else is as good as it can be.

John, you're absolutely right, life is better than it could be!

I'm sorry to hear about your "Pup" I know that's got to be hard. My dog, Daisy, was adopted recently by my wife and myself, and we just found out today that the shelter we adopted her from failed to test or treat her for heart worm and ear mites, and that she was getting sick because of the heart worm medicine the shelter gave us! She's treatable, but my wife will be without her companion for several days, and misses her already.

I just needed to vent, My wife can't work right now because of school, and so when things like this happen it's kinda hard to stick it out, when she's working such things will be easier to deal with.... just two more months, just two more months.....

it's sad to say this stuff happens and it puts a wrench in the wheels of success
of course you have your fee's you have to pay out too from them bouncing..

before you run the ck again for the last time they will let you.
call the bank it's written out of, some times they will tell you if there is enough funds in their account to cover the check. some will tell you some won't.. and if it's out of a bank that is also a local bank, go to the bank and cash it personally they can't take cash back from you.
