Hey everyone. I have been incredibly busy and haven’t made it back on the forums for a while so I figured I would do a one post catch up as opposed to doing it in separate spots.
The gathering was great. It was really cool to put some faces to names. There are a lot of new names on here now that I don’t know so hello to the new guys.
Here are some shots I had laying around.

As you know I had to leave early Sunday to make it to the Renaissance Fair. We made it in time to walk around for a couple hours.

The Blade show was awesome this year. Thank you again Bladite for the passes. Moose and Mr. Becker; it was great to talk with you guys again. Moose you sold me on the KME. That thing works perfect for me. I ended up going with the diamond set. Mr. Becker, thank you for giving Zander the BK-14. He absolutely loves it. He is still a bit young to use it but as soon as he is able, he will get some woods time with it. I figured it would be good to get him started early with proper knife use so I made him an exact wooden replica of the knife you gave him. It turned out great but was subsequently chewed apart by the dog about two weeks later.

I’m trying to get my wife in to the primitive skills area and she is struggling a bit. She started with a brand new Light-My-Fire stick and went to town.

As a disclaimer: I started three little fires while she was working this one. So it was not the materials. I could have given her pointers and offered more help but it was actually a bit therapeutic to see her being driven as crazy as she drives me. Wrong; I know, but I can live with that.

I posted a review of Todd’s knife in the review section if anyone is interested.

I have given away all of my Beckers with the exception of the 4 and 11CSM. I love helping out friends and family and don’t have a lot of money to do so. When it comes to hooking them up with a great knife I can afford that I know will hold up to a lifetime of improper use; Becker has it nailed.

That’s about it as far as updates. I just got my acceptance letter to GA Tech for Mechanical Engineering so busy times ahead. Hope everyone is doing well and I am looking forward to seeing some old and new faces at the fall gathering.

Looks like good times, thanks for sharing. Welcome back.

Glad you are still alive! It was good meeting you at the Gathering, and I hope you make it up to the next one!

Glad to see you around, dont be a stranger.

Looks like good times, Tanker. I like to see the young'uns working with their steel. Get 'em started off right.
