I ride year-round so there is no first day or season, just great ridin' weather and crappy ridin' weather but I'm curious, who's been out already, who hasn't stopped ridin', if ya do ride and ya ain't ridin' yet what're ya waitin' for?

We haven't had a lot of good days to ride in NEPA this winter but we had a few, last couple of days have been in the high 40s low 50s, dry roads, (no snow) good ridin' weather so I been puttin' some miles on, hey at 42 mpg and a nice comfy road sofa to plant my butt in... it ain't hard to do the math.

Been ridin' since I was 5, got my first motorcycle at 8, 45 years and many bikes later I'm still in the wind, my current ride is a vintage, (fancy way of sayin' old) 1985 Yamaha Venture, aka my Road Sofa, if I'm out alone I'm on my bike, it's my preferred mode transportation and mental therapy. ;)

Here's an older pic with the kids on it.

Just changed the oil and filter, pumped the tires up, and did a little detailing of all the winter crud
that accumulated in the garage.
It's ready to ride as soon as nicer temps arive.
Yeehaaa!

Norton's moving into their new manufacturing facility now, they cleared the emissions requirement for import to the USA and will be available to buy later this year-early 2014.

Thanks! Alot of people dont like the pipe colors, they try to polish it back out...I don't know why, I like it.

This is stock right after I got it. Since then, my pipes have taken on a nice color to them as well.

Getting time to get my restored 1976 Bultaco Alpina 350 out of storage. I will take a pic when I do. Looking forward to a great riding season.

Definitely!
But I want to wait till all the gravel is off the roads.
I like to ride in a spirited fashion and don't want to have an "oh sh#t" moment coming around
a curve into a patch of gravel.
Are you going to buy the Norton?
I saw one in person and it's absolutely beautiful.
Old school style with cutting edge modern components.

Just came back from PT and an 80 mile ride damn it was windy then a little rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow, great ride ;).

Wow, I can't believe how many Triumphs here. Plus, you guys are making me feel young again with all these Nortons, Bultacos, and even a Vincent- well, OK, the Vincent was a classic even before my time.

My current ride is a Yamaha FJR, which, although it's a little heavy, may be the perfect bike- at least for a married guy who's always riding double. Lots of power, really smooth and comfortable and with the suspension set up right it handles amazingly well for such a big bike. Now if I could just get a lighter "solo" bike...

I'm more than ready for the season to start around here. Bike needs some brake work done first.

Hopefully I'll get some time off (I've asked for furlough days to save the company money) and actually be able to ride this year. Unlike last year... :(
